About THE PRODUCT

SANSHO Leaves, also known as Kinome, come from the Japanese prickly ash plant and are prized for their fresh, citrusy aroma and subtle tingling spice. This Sansho is produced in Wakayama Prefecture (和歌山県) — Especially Aridagawa (有田川町), Wakayama is known as the No.1 producer of high-quality Sansho in Japan. This region specializes in the Asakura Sansho variety — known for its bright citrus aroma, gentle numbing effect, and clean flavor. Harvesting is done by hand, with careful selection of young spring leaves (Kinome).
